This bathroom renovation in Crewkerne involved a complete transformation of a dated existing bathroom, with the room stripped back and rebuilt to create a cleaner, brighter and more practical space.
The project began with the removal of the existing bathroom fittings, wall tiles and finishes. Stripping the room back provided the opportunity to properly assess and prepare the space before the new bathroom installation began.
With the old tiles and sanitaryware removed, the walls, plumbing and surrounding areas could be properly prepared for the new layout and finishes.
Careful preparation formed an important part of this renovation. Plumbing was adapted for the new bathroom fittings, while the walls and floor were prepared to provide a suitable base for the new installation.
Waterproofing and preparation work was carried out throughout the bathroom before the walls were finished, helping to create a properly prepared and durable space ready for tiling.
A new bath, toilet and basin were installed as part of the transformation, replacing the dated fittings with a much cleaner and more contemporary bathroom suite.
Large-format neutral wall tiles were fitted around the bathroom, together with complementary floor tiles. Careful setting out and installation helped create consistent lines throughout the room and a much more modern overall appearance.
This type of complete installation forms part of our bathroom renovation services, covering everything from initial preparation through to the finished room.
New recessed ceiling lighting was introduced to brighten the room and complement the lighter finishes. A chrome heated towel rail was also fitted, adding a practical feature while working well with the other modern fittings.
The remaining walls and ceiling were finished in white, helping to maximise the feeling of light and space while providing a clean contrast against the neutral tiling.
As with our wider home renovation work, attention was given to the preparation and finishing details as well as the main installation.
The finished bathroom is a significant change from the original space. The dated tiles and fittings have been replaced with a cleaner combination of neutral tiling, modern sanitaryware and contemporary lighting.
From the initial strip-out and preparation through to plumbing, tiling and final installation, the project demonstrates the complete renovation service we provide for homeowners in Crewkerne and the surrounding areas.
