We recently had the pleasure of transforming Lily’s kitchen and utility area into a seamless, open-plan living space. The project began with the removal of the original kitchen and utility, followed by the structural removal of the wall between the two rooms. This opened up the space, enhancing both light and flow, while creating a unified, functional area.

A full electrical rewire was completed, ensuring all wiring was carefully concealed for a sleek, modern finish—only the essential outlets remain visible. The plumbing was also adapted and hidden within the walls for a minimalist, clean look.

Once the structural work was complete, the entire area was replastered, creating smooth, flawless surfaces ready for the finishing touches. New flooring was installed throughout after the floors were levelled with latex, ensuring consistency across the space.

The new kitchen features high-quality compact laminate worktops, an elegant undermount sink, and custom routered grooves for a refined touch. To complement the kitchen, we built a custom table and seating area, creating a stylish dining zone that fits perfectly within the space.

Fresh skirting boards, new doors, and carefully selected tile splashbacks above the countertops added the finishing details. A complete decoration was carried out to deliver a crisp, modern look.

Throughout this project, we worked closely with Lily and our in-house design team to ensure the final design met her vision. The contrast between the warm oak worktop and the sleek compact laminate surfaces beautifully balances traditional and contemporary styles.
